Allen started his broadcasting career in the mid-1970s in London, England.
During the last four decades he has been heard on London Broadcasting Company (LBC), Capital Radio, Invicta Radio (Canterbury) , Radio Nova International (Italy), BFBS (British Forces Broadcasting Service) 89.9 The Breeze FM (Bahamas) and several radio stations across Southern Ontario including CHUC, CKPT, CFMP 101.5 FM, CFRB1010 and 980 CHEX.
When Allen is not playing on the radio he can be found at home with his wife, two children and two dogs called Dee & Jay (D-J)
Hobbies include travelling, listening to music, reading crime novels, playing poker and he is currently learning to speak Mandarin.
